With the support of Every Kid Can Play Grant Program (EKCP), this initiative aims to enhance and expand existing community-level SPAR programs, ensuring that all children, regardless of their economic background, have the opportunity to engage in these vital activities.

Community Facility Enhancment Program (CFEP)

Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Project-Based
“Cultural Fusion Through Sport: Showcasing Alberta’s Diversity and Unity on the Global Stage” will host a high-caliber cultural and sporting event that promotes diversity, inclusion, and community pride. The project features local sporting competitions in soccer, basketball, and volleyball, paired with cultural showcases highlighting traditional music, dance, and art from diverse communities, including newcomers, Indigenous peoples, and refugees. Objectives include fostering cross-cultural connections, promoting Alberta as a hub for inclusive events, and enhancing tourism and economic activity. Concrete activities include organizing tournaments, cultural performances, workshops, and an interactive cultural village showcasing global traditions. This event will leverage Alberta’s proven capacity to host large-scale events while celebrating its rich cultural tapestry through sport and art.
Edmonton City Community Investment Operating Grant (CIOG)
CPSA’s mandate to promote multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion through arts, culture, recreation, and sport aligns seamlessly with the Active Recreation/Amateur Sport sector and the grant priorities. Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Program

New Horizons Senior Grant
Througn the New Horizons Senior Grant, CPSA aims to create a holistic and culturally relevant approach to promoting mental health, social inclusion, and reconciliation among Indigenous seniors, contributing to the well-being and resilience of both individuals and the broader community. CPSA seeks to foster a sense of belonging, community, and camaraderie among Indigenous seniors. CPSA also aims to celebrate and preserve Indigenous cultural heritage by incorporating traditional practices, teachings, and knowledge-sharing sessions into the sports and wellness activities and bridging the gap between generations by facilitating interactions between Indigenous seniors and younger community members. Finally,CPSA seeks to promote physical and mental well-being, as well as cultural reconnection, the project contributes to the broader process of reconciliation
